Attactions and Activities in Costa Rica
In Quepos, this beach is frequented by residents of the city. It is located between the mouth of RíoPaquita and Boca Vieja, from which it takes its name. Walking on the beach and swimming are popular activities and boat trips on the RíoPaquita .
Playa BejucoJust south of Playa Bejuco is an extension of Esterillos Este and similar conditions. Among its attractions is fishing from the beach or in the estuary Bejuco . Its length makes it ideal for walking and horse riding , photography, sunbathing and relaxing swim in the ocean are also attractive activities .
PLAYA BaruThis beach is surrounded by a lush natural landscape of forests and mangroves. Near the beach at Hacienda Baru is a private nature preserve , where visitors can take a canopy tour to observe the rich biodiversity. Ridley and hawksbill nest on this beach, September-October turtle.
LADIES MANGLARESThese mangroves can be made by boat or kayak . During the tour, visitors will have the pleasure of observing the flora and fauna, particularly the white-faced monkeys and countless birds.
HORSE ISLANDAn old lighthouse adorns the coat of the tropical jungle that covers the island. Divers can admire beautiful landscapes submarine full of colorful fish and marine life.
FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTIONThis public religious festival is held on December 8 in Quepos . Locals prepare delicious local dishes and celebrate their faith in various religious ceremonies.
PALO SECO ESTUARYThe fine weather and the atmosphere of this estuary are very favorable for fishing, water skiing, boating and racing .
SAN MATEO CITYAt 254 meters above sea level , San Mateo is a picturesque town that maintains a rural atmosphere in the community.
